E-safety

Learning about staying safe online is very important.

At Gorringe Park Primary School we make sure our pupils are aware of the potential risks to safety when they are online and what to do to stay safe.

We have a set of SMART rules which the children are expected to follow at home and in school to make sure they stay safe online. These rules can be viewed below and should be followed when using all kinds of technology such as mobile phones, games consoles and home computers.

We are committed to improving e-safety and ensure that children are regularly reminded of the SMART rules during ICT sessions. As part of anti-bullying week children also learnt about cyber bullying and how to deal with it.

On 10th February 2015 we marked Safer Internet Day by completing activities throughout the school on e-safety under the theme 'Let's create a better internet together'.

Safer Internet Day 2016 will be held on Tuesday 9th February with the theme 'Play your part for a better internet!'.
